3rd Open Call – Submit your innovative ideas before 13/9!

The 3rd open call of ADL of the City of Athens, is calling all young innovators, startups, research teams or uni students/graduates to submit their innovative digital ideas!

Whatever category you belong to, if you have the next tech idea that will change Athens, we are looking for you! Up to 10 digital ideas will be transformed into advanced technological solutions that will be implemented in the real field. Participating alongside you will be the official services of the Athens’ municipality, with the goal of collaborating for a smart, sustainable and competitive city.

With renewed themes, Athens Digital Lab, the first municipal tech hub in Greece, invites you to submit your innovative proposal. Choose one of the 6 themes that correspond to the city’s challenges and help improve the quality of life of residents and visitors, while also playing an integral role in the effort to upgrade the services of the municipality.

The thematics have been selected based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, on which the strategic plan of Athens and the national sustainability strategy is built.

These themes include:

  • Tourism / Culture
  • Resilience / Crisis prevention and management (COVID-19)
  • Public space management
  • Smart training
  • Impact Investment Monitor
  • “Open” theme

The teams will be hosted in the fully-equipped space of Athens Digital Lab in the Serafio of the Municipality of Athens, having at their disposal the necessary technological equipment, along with the full guidance of executives of the Municipality of Athens and the companies COSMOTE and Nokia.

On the occasion of the new Open Call of ADL, the mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakogiannis, pointed that:Innovation is at the heart of our strategy for  a sustainable urban environment. We invest in this for present, but also for the future of our city. Through Athens Digital Lab, we support the athenian ecosystem, enhancing our cooperation with young entrepreneurs and utilizing the data of the city as a “tool” for a more effective planning of our policies. We aim to improve the services for the professionals of Athens and the interaction with the citizens and the visitors of the city“.
